Our Team
LHI's dedicated team of social workers, counselors, ministers, volunteers, and support staff are passionate about helping others. We are experienced professionals who are committed to making a positive impact in our community by empowering and equipping people to help themselves. LHI's team represents a diverse group of individuals who, collectively, has 100+ years of experience in helping people to help themselves.
Texas ranks among the states with the highest poverty rates, and individuals with learning disabilities are even more likely to face housing instability, unemployment, and low literacy. However, many low-income Texans lack access to affordable housing, mental health, and educational support; mentorship and job readiness, and adaptive learning programs. LHI fills a critical gap by targeting both economic hardship and learning challenges—providing a holistic path toward economic mobility and independence.
